DESCRIPTION:On booking you will receive a New Order notification which confirms your booking.  A confirmation email will be sent 3 days prior to the event with all the details you will need for the event as well as a request for dietary requirements/allergies.   \n\nWoodoaks Farm lies just to the west of London at Maple Cross in Hertfordshire. It extends to just over 300 acres and includes arable and pastureland and around 75 acres of semi-natural woodland.  The farm has been in the Findlay Family since the 1920’s and in November 2020 Sally Findlay donated Woodoaks to the Soil Association Land Trust to ensure it will be farmed sustainably into the future; producing good food\, improving wildlife and continuing to welcome people. \n\nOn booking a course we will meet at the Woodoaks Farm\, Denham Way\, Maple Cross\, Rickmansworth\, Hertfordshire\, WD3 9XQ before heading out into some of the hedgerows and surrounding woodlands for a 2.5 hour flavour-led-foraging walk. \n\nFlavour-Led Foraging Walks\nThese walks are an introduction to foraging for flavour in order to teach on the rules and regulations\, identification techniques\, and the risks associated with wild food and drink. Throughout the walk we will identify seasonal ingredients and compare and contrast with their dangerous counterparts. During this I will be regularly visiting certain techniques of preservation and ways in which to create tasty wild ingredients to use at home along with a few tasters along the way.

After the many successful events in 2023 following we have decided to run the same style event on Sunday 7th April 2024.  With more being planned for later in the year. \nWe will start with a Flavour Led Forage (snacks and tasters along the way) from Hackney Marshes all the way to Flat Earth Pizzas where we will enjoy a drink on arrival a selection of Flat Earth Pizzas with wild dips and some Flavour Fred cocktails. This ticketed event will start at 12:00noon meeting near the Waterworks Centre\, E10 7QB arriving at Flat Earth Pizzas for 3:15pm concluding by 4:30pm. Further meeting point location provided on confirmation email that follows. \nFlavour Fred’s Foraging Walks: These sessions are an introduction to foraging for flavour in order to teach on the rules and regulations\, identification techniques\, and the risks associated with wild food and drink. Throughout the walk we will identify seasonal ingredients and compare and contrast with their dangerous counterparts.
