It extends to just over 300 acres and includes arable and pastureland and around 75 acres of semi-natural woodland.  The farm has been in the Findlay Family since the 1920’s and in November 2020 Sally Findlay donated Woodoaks to the Soil Association Land Trust to ensure it will be farmed sustainably into the future; producing good food\, improving wildlife and continuing to welcome people. \n\nOn booking a course we will meet at the Woodoaks Farm\, Denham Way\, Maple Cross\, Rickmansworth\, Hertfordshire\, WD3 9XQ before heading out into some of the hedgerows and surrounding woodlands for a 2.5 hour flavour-led-foraging walk. \n\nFlavour-Led Foraging Walks\nThese walks are an introduction to foraging for flavour in order to teach on the rules and regulations\, identification techniques\, and the risks associated with wild food and drink. Throughout the walk we will identify seasonal ingredients and compare and contrast with their dangerous counterparts. DESCRIPTION:On booking you will receive a New Order notification which confirms your booking.  A confirmation email will be sent 3 days prior to the event with all the details you will need for the event as well as a request for dietary requirements/allergies.   \n\nJoin me for a beautiful 2.5 hour walk through the beautiful\, ancient & protected Brede High Wood.  This guided 2.5 hour walk to learn about plant & fungi identification\, history\, folklore\, responsibility\, soil heath & much more.  This location & session is authorised and in support of the Woodland Trust in order to demonstrate the importance of the site and to teach respectfulness and responsibility to the diverse & complex relationships happening in nature all around us. \n\nOn booking a course we will meet at the Brede High Woods Eastern Car Park\, B2089\, Broad Oak\, Rye TN31 6EX before heading out into some of the hedgerows and surrounding woodlands for a 2.5 hour flavour-led-foraging walk. \n\nWoodland Trust Walks\nThis location & session is authorised by the Woodland Trust in order to demonstrate the importance of the site and to teach respectfulness and responsibility to the diverse & complex relationships happening in nature all around us.

DESCRIPTION:A further confirmation email will be sent 3 days prior to the Walk where any special requests and dietary requirements can be discussed. \nWe will meet at the Waterworks Centre Nature Reserve Car Park\, Lammas Road\, E10 7QB.  Further meeting point location provided on the confirmation email that follows. \nThese walks are an introduction to foraging for flavour in order to teach on the rules and regulations\, identification techniques\, and the risks associated with wild food and drink. Throughout the walk we will identify seasonal ingredients and compare and contrast with their dangerous counterparts.
